Privacy Policy

WhoSabiAm is operated by Stalwart Crest, Inc. (USA). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

If you're browsing or hiring, you don't need an account. We automatically collect limited technical information via server logs: your IP address, browser and OS, the pages you visit, the time of the visit, and the referring URL (if any). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

If you're a professional with a profile, we collect what you give us during signup and onboarding so we can publish your profile and verify you:

• Account credentials from Google (your email and name, via Google sign-in)
• Display name, profession, sub-specialties, bio
• Location (city and country) and optional service-area note
• Profile photo and portfolio images
• Phone number, verified by one-time code; this also becomes your default WhatsApp contact unless you change it
• Optional public contact email
• The verification status of your profile and any reviewer notes we record while reviewing your submission

If you submit an endorsement for a professional, we collect:

• Your first name and last initial — these appear publicly on the profile
• Your endorsement text and any photo you choose to attach
• Your phone number, stored only as a one-way hash so we can prevent the same person endorsing the same profile twice; the phone number itself is never displayed
• Your IP address and browser, also stored only as one-way hashes, used only to detect abuse

If you submit a report about a profile or an endorsement, we collect your reason, any notes you add, and a hashed copy of your IP for abuse prevention. We do not require an account to submit a report.

How we use it

• To run the directory: publish profiles, show search results, deliver endorsement links, surface notifications
• To verify professionals: call them, look at their work, speak with their references, and record the outcome
• To protect the platform against fraud, impersonation, scams, and abuse
• To respond when you contact us or report a problem
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not run advertising, sell your information, or use private content to train models.

What appears publicly

Information you provide as a professional is published on your profile by design — your name, profession, location, bio, photo, portfolio, and WhatsApp / phone / email if you choose to share them. Endorsements appear with the endorser's first name and last initial only. Phone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses, and any internal hashes are never published.

Who we share it with

We use Supabase as our data processor for database, authentication, and file storage. We use Cloudflare to host and deliver the site. These providers process your data only on our instructions and are contractually required to protect it. We do not sell your information.

We may also disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

How long we keep it

Public profile and endorsement data stays for as long as your profile is on the directory. If you delete your account, we soft-delete it immediately (the profile is hidden from the public) and queue a full purge after 30 days, after which we delete it from our active databases. Backups are rotated and overwritten on a normal schedule.

Internal verification notes and reports are retained for as long as they are useful for protecting the platform, then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of information about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@whosabiam.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
